JAPANESE EMBASSY CONTRIBUTES TO CONCRETE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

The Japanese government is contributing to the construction of a
concrete bridge on an inter-village road in delta area, according to
the Ministry of Information.


The bridge is part of a road network linking 16 villages altogether
and connects Yangon-Pathein highway.


"The estimated cost of construction is K 111.7 million (USD 11
million). It is the RC bridge with the length of 160 ft," Han Win
Aung, a local, said.


"The donation was made possible by a village who has contacts with the
Japanese embassy in Myanmar and requested the donation," managing
director Myint Lwin of Kay Khine Oo Company.


Kay Khine Oo is the contractor of the bridge construction funded by
the Japanese embassy.


The report says that the completion of the bridge would contribute to
the smooth flow of commodity in rural areas.
