MYANMAR, KOICA TO COOPERATE FOR MECHANIZED FARMING DEVELOPMENT

The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and Korean International Cooperation Agency signed Record of Discussion for establishment of mechanized farming school in Nay Pyi Taw on September 27, according to official media report.


Director-General of Irrigation Department U Kyaw Myint Hlaing and Chief Resident Representative of KOICA Myanmar Office Mr Nam Kwon-Hyoung signed Record of Discussion for project for farmland consolidation and agricultural machinery training for agricultural mechanization in Myanmar, says the report.


The project is aimed at developing mechanized farming, agricultural production and educating farmers.


The success of the project would pave ways to enhance Myanmar-Korea mutual friendship and the living standards of Myanmar farmers.
The upgrading of farmlands would be carried out in Tegyigon village in Zabuthiri Township in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and mechanized farming training school in Yezin in Zeyathiri Township.
