The parliament passed the appointment of the anti-corruption
commission with civil servant retirees, according to RFA report.
The commission will be led by Mya Win, a veteran, as chairman and
secretary Tin Oo, a retired ambassador, as secretary.
The parliament approved the appointment of the 15-member commission
nominated by the president as per the anti-corruption law.
The president made the proposal to appoint the commission with
nominations on February 21 and the nomination was approved five days
later.
The members were proposed proportionately by the president, the lower
house speaker and the upper house speaker.
The president office confirmed the appointment in the evening.
